REACH – The New European Legislation on Chemicals

REACH is the new European legislation on chemicals. REACH is the acronym for Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of CHemicals. It will replace EINECS (European Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances) and the new substances notification procedure in the European Union (ELINCS = European List of New Chemical Substances).

The Performance Polymers Business Unit is already in the process of preparing for REACH. 
We  produce and market a wide range of monomers and polymers. Polymers are exempt from registration and evaluation. However the monomers need to be registered. We will make sure that all our monomers are pre-registered. Furthermore we will make sure that all additional substances are pre-registered and so get the phase-in status.

Our goal is to make the transition to the new legislation as smooth as possible for our customers and to be able to supply you with our products as usual.
Therefore, our regulatory experts are thoroughly following all new developments on REACH and evaluating the impact on Methacrylates products.
